EM Cosmetics Infinite Lip Cloud: Faded Clementine

I recently discovered EM (pronounced “M”) Cosmetics online, and was enticed by their Infinite Lip Clouds, promising a cloud-like sensation of light and fluffy, but soft as air” lip cremes.

Now I’ve never felt a cloud before, but the idea of wearing anything light and airy on my lips was very appealing. So much so, I bought three shades: Muted Mauve, Rose Nude and Faded Clementine.

Faded Clementine is an understated, almost cool apricot-orange. I haven’t seen a shade like this before and would actually go as far as to describe it as a neutral orange.

Having never been partial to orange-toned shades, I surprisingly really like this one. It’s a subtle pop of colour that can be worn throughout the year and I think it would suit all skin tones.

It doesn’t dry down to a complete matte finish, so I could take my time defining my lips. Plus the scent reminds me of a hazelnut spread, which for a chocoholic like me, is heavenly. (The scent faded away after application though.)

After an hour or so, the colour did settle into my lip lines, but by pressing my lips together, the creamy consistency repaired the coverage.

The doe foot applicator has a very deep arch so two pumps were needed for full coverage. I also needed to use the flatter surface of the applicator when filling in my lips, to prevent streaking.

Final thoughts? I never thought I could wear an orange-toned lipstick, but Faded Clementine has proved me wrong. This is my favourite out of the three Lip Clouds I purchased, purely because of its unique colour.

EM Cosmetics Infinite Lip Clouds are priced at USD16.00 and can be found here.
