July Favs: 4 Summer must-have oils

Hello lovelies! Sorry for the absence…I haven’t posted in a while as I’m currently back home in Malaysia and have just been enjoying the sunshine, catching up with friends and spending time with family.

Since it’s still Summer in the UK and always Summer in Malaysia, I thought I’d share with you, my four favourite must-haves oils that I think would work well in both countries right now.

1. SUPERGOOP! Sun-Defying Sunscreen Oil with Meadowfoam SPF 50

This Supergoop oil is amazing. It’s lightweight, non-greasy and absorbs instantly. This is my new found protector before going for a swim.

Most sun oils I’ve used feel like they just sit on top of my skin. I imagine my pores gasping for breath as the sun fries my epidermis to a crisp. (I’m being dramatic, but you get my point).

The meadowfoam seed oil in this is a bonus. It’s rich in antioxidants, locks in moisture and delivers its nutrients deep into the skin. So I can get sun-kissed and defy the UV rays in a worry-free way.

2. Sephora Nourishing Mousse Body Oil

This one isn’t really an oil, but the idea of a lightweight mousse with the nourishing properties of a dry oil intrigued me.IMG_0457I really dread using body lotion after a shower, in hot, sweaty weather. It makes me feel so sticky and gross that I end up rinsing off again, in favour of feeling fresh. Because of that, my skin, especially my legs get pretty dry. As I plan to be in KL for a while, I knew I needed to find a product that would do the trick.IMG_0458The application of this mousse oil is a dream – it’s more of an airy foam that disappears into the skin without any greasy film. It has a light, clean fragrance and my skin feels satiny-smooth and looks hydrated. I’m super-pleased I went with this purchase.

3. Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil

I discovered this in Space NK,  just as London was heading into its heatwave. It’s supposed to be a great hair product to fight the frizz, soften, silken, detangle and protect against heat and UV damage.

It worked really well for me in London, so I decided to bring it back to see if it would do all that in KL’s humidity as well.Only two pumps are needed. I simply run that through my damp hair after a shower. My hair length’s just above my bra line. (To give you a better idea of the oil to hair ratio). After blow-drying, I use one pump after to smoothen and finish the ends. It really keeps the frizzies at bay without weighing my hair down. Plus it smells like vanilla. Two thumbs up!

4. Pinch of Colour Healthy Lips Waterless Lip Oil in Pink Crush

This is such a good lip oil. It has more of a balm-like consistency, probably from all the rich, nourishing botanicals like rose hip, apricot, avocado and macadamia seed oils. My lips look super glowy and feel very nourished and moisturised. I bought Pink Crush which gives my pale lips a healthy pink flush of colour like I’ve been drinks lots of water.
